The Beginning
Leandro discovers tennis at around the age of five. A televised match between Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal becomes one of the early sparks for a passion that would shape the years ahead.

Melanie Molitor
In his early development Leandro trains under Melanie Molitor, long-time coach and mother of Martina Hingis. He describes this period as a key part of his foundation — discipline, technique and tactics.

The Training Group
Céline Naef is part of the training group at the time. Practising together every day defines these early years.

The Next Step
At around fifteen, Leandro moves on to work with Patrick Sommer — the start of a new phase in his development.

USA at Sixteen.
In August 2021 a new chapter begins in Arkansas City, Kansas, where tennis and education go hand in hand.

Daily Work
Three to four hours of tennis a day, alongside school and strength training. A rhythm built on discipline.

Education
Alongside his tennis, Leandro completes studies in Business Administration — a step towards a bachelor's degree.

Return & Competition
In 2023 Leandro reaches the final of the Aargau Championships, beating Jonas Schär — then Swiss No. 15 — along the way. A tournament win at an R1/R4 event in Bremgarten follows.

International
The path leads onto the ITF circuit: in 2025 he reaches the final qualifying round in Nyíregyháza (M15) and the second round of qualifying in Kramsach (M25), followed by qualifying in Klosters (M25) in 2026. Today the focus is on continued development in international tennis.
